Agriturismo CasaSesta - Tuscany

Azienda Agricola CasaSesta - Tuscany

Welcome to Azienda Agricola CasaSesta

The Pratesi family welcomes you to Tuscany at their Agriturismo Casa Sesta, wishing you an exciting vacation as you discover the wonders of this magnificent region. Situated in the hills of the Valdarno Aretino, the Agriturismo Casa Sesta looks out over the valley of the Arno , from an altitude of 600 meters above sea level, offering its clients one of the most beautiful panoramas in all of Tuscany.

An ancient farmhouse and hunting lodge will be your refuge during a holiday spent amidst the vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees of the property. An authentic and fully functional wood burning stove is also available in an adjacent outdoor shelter once used for winter provisions . Flanking the farmhouse, a small consecrated chapel, still functional and dedicated to St. Clare, reminds us that, in earlier times, the Casa Sesta was a place of gathering for farmers of the area. A few elderly locals still remember walking up to Sesta with their families, at threshing time, to celebrate mass in the tiny chapel.

The forty hectares of forest belonging to the Casa Sesta are part of a game reserve populated with wild hares, pheasants, squirrels and deer. Guests can observe all of these animals in their natural habitat while on hiking excursions.
Guests are also encouraged to relax at the pool, from which one can enjoy a magnificent panorama and spectacular sunsets looking out past the Pieve di Gropina.
The seven apartments - resulting from a careful renovation of the farmhouse and hunting lodge - have been decorated and well equipped, with special attention being made to combine modern needs and comforts with the simplicity and fascination of styles from the past.
The Casa Sesta Agricultural Enterprise produces Red Chianti D.O.C.G., white wine and extra-virgin olive oil.
During your stay you are invited to taste our products and take part in the more important moments of farm life: from the pruning of the olive trees in March, to the harvesting of fruit in summer, to the grape harvest and vinification process taking place in September and October, to the late autumn gathering and pressing of the olives for the production of olive oil.
Thanks to its central position, a vacation at Agriturismo Casa Sesta facilitates visiting the Tuscan art cities of world renown such as Florence, Siena and Arezzo, along with the possibility of discovering the more hidden and remote spots (but no less amazing) of this land, rich with history and natural beauty.
During your stay, the Pratesi family can advise you on natural itineraries for either hiking or mountain biking, or historical and gastronomic itineraries, which take you through breathtaking towns and countryside. The Pratesi family welcomes you to Tuscany at their Agriturismo Casa Sesta, wishing you an exciting vacation as you discover the wonders of this magnificent region.
